929 Red Dot

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me what is the best Red dot scope for a 929 please?

A lot depends upon what you plan to do with the combination. What's the size of your budget? If all you're trying to do is hit pie plates at 25yds then its likely many will satisfy your need.
Personally, I have a Vortex Razor on mine but quite a few won't invest that kind of money.

Have you considered a reflex sight vs. a scope? I really like the Leupold Delta Point Pro. But as pointed out -- depends on what your use is.

Dot size reference

Here is a reference for dot sizes (at 25 feet) for shooting at close targets like SCSA and bowling pins (a bowling pin is 4.5" at the widest part). If you are going to shoot smaller targets far away you will want a smaller dot, for example at 100 yards a 2 MOA is 2" and a 16 MOA is 16".

I use Burris FF3's with an 8MOA dot on 2 revolvers for SCSA and pins, they work good for close up speed shooting and I can still hit an 8" plate at 100 yards, (same size as my dot)

I use a C-More Railway Sight on an Allchin mount to keep it close to the bore.
I have the same setup on my 617 and my 929.

As mentioned, it all depends on the mission.

What's optimal for close-in speed games is pretty much useless shooting silhouettes out to 100 yards (or more).

Many of my competitions involve precision shooting at different distances.
Matchdot II allows instant elevation changes by counting clicks.
