Model 945-40 Performance Center Pistol, .40
Smith & Wesson, 3.75 barrel, Stainless Steel Finish, Wood. Product 170180...I am considering trying to find one of these and wonder if you all can offer any opinions, experiences with this model and the .40 S&W from it.
Bud's is out of stock...any other suggestions?
thanks in advance.

Everyone is, and been out of stock for around 7 years. They were only made for one year and around 250 pcs.

There is one on AA right now, I think. You would have to be prepared to pay though.

They shoot like every other PC gun made.

Beautiful looking gun w/rather snappy recoil--was a "Sports South" exclusive--perfect proportions--but beware--spare mags are almost impossible to find--dmd

You may find an odd one here or there, but the factory still lists them.

I would not be surprised if some standard 40 cal mags could be modified to fit. Just like the full sized mags.

Yep, they still have them, ordered two today from smith ($41 each, ouch !). Also ordered up a Black Hills ostich leg leather holster, should have that in three weeks and the gun later this week, hoping it's as clean as it looked in the pix on line.

My dealer (in Culver City, California) has one that's new in the box for around $1,200. I just paid about a grand for one that was pre-owned, but doesn't look like it had been fired.

There was a 945 40 Perfomance Center in Springfield, IL Gander Mountain for $1500 IIRC.
It looked well used.

does this gun come with night sights from the factory? Also how many mags are in the box when new?
