Years ago a friend of mine had a 952 with a J-Point red dot sight mounted in the rear sight dovetail. I am pretty certain that he did not have to modify the slide, and that the dovetail mount he used was commercially available at that time.
Sadly, my friend is no longer with us, so I cannot ask him the details about the mount. However, I got to shoot the gun a fair bit, and I am pretty sure I am remembering correctly.
I definitely remember that the 952 was a delight to shoot, and for me, a red dot is necessary to use a pistol like that at anything close to its potential. Well realistically, I need a red dot to shoot to my potential, and that is nowhere close to what a 952 can do.
