9m/m ammo on sale YAH!!

They are not all over North Central Florida or online. I have seen one box of primers in the last year for $120.00 in a local gun shop. Of course you can buy them for that much and more at Gunbroker but not for anything reasonable. I have plenty so I am good, but if someone does not have primers already they are are wasting time and money to try a get into reloading at this point unless they just want to get set up for later by buying dies at triple what they should be.

I find it impossible to believe that you can't find primers in Florida. I'll bet you're not really looking hard because you don't need them.

I see them in Ohio at local shops quite often. And I mean stacks of them. They are going for about 7.99 per 100 and limit 2, but they are out there.

And again, this is beside the point. They WILL become readily available soon and increasing one's ability to create cheap ammunition can only be a benefit! There are components to be had now.

Waiting for the next cycle and being 100% dependent on loaded ammo and their prices is crazy, and the same people will be saying the same things again.

My brother lives in Texas and just bought his carry pistol. So he asks if the dealer has any ammo for sale. Dealer says he has 4 cases of 9mm for $800 a case. He did get 4 boxes of no name ammo. When I asked what brand he said made in Czechoslakia I figured S&B or Sellier & Bellot. Rattled of the name and didn't recognize what bFrankrand.

A buddy of mine went to the Kissimmee Academy yesterday and got 2 boxes Win brass (200 rds each) for $70 each. Not cheap but $.35/rd is getting better.

My perception is that factory ammo supply seems to be loosening a bit and pricing is improving. Primers have been scarce.
Might be awhile until we see stable prices again...certainly will be higher than pre-panic-demic prices.

This is wrong. You obviously haven't looked.

The attitude of "well, I'll never make myself independent of ammo makers because some people have a hard time buying components now" is kind of silly.

Buy the equipment, start buying components, and always buy components when you see them available.

Just last night I bought 1,000 125 gr. Plated Hollow points for my 38s and 357s online from X-treme bullets for $120.

I see powder all day every day.

I see primers all day every day, but they are just limited now to about 200 in my area.

I see brass all day every day on auction sites or stuff that I've saved over the years.

You guys obviously aren't looking too hard! I get it, reloading can be a hassle if you don't like to do it, but then don't complain when you can't go find nice boxes of finished ammo for $9.99 / 50 like you could with 9mm before.

I have cabinets full of ammo for all the calibers I shoot and much of it was reloaded in the past 3-6 months with recently-bought components.
OR, I could just buy factory ammo when it's cheap and plentiful (like I do)

Problem solved. ;)

Went in Academy this Sunday Afternoon and they had a lot of ammo on the shelves. Mostly 22LR, 22 Magnum, .223 and 9m/m. The .223 was Winchester white box FMJ 20 rds for $12.99. The 9/m was Winchester FMJ 50 rds for $17.99. I bought one of each, that's all they would let me have.
