I have 500 9mm 147gr FMJ bullets from Roger's Better Bullets. I picked up a 1lb bottle of Vihtavuori N320 powder and 1K of CCI 500 SP primers yesterday from Kings. I am planning to drop 3.6 to 3.7 grains of N320 into mixed once fired cases. My OAL will be 1.12. I am looking to create a subsonic round to be fired in a full auto HK MP5 and several HK pistols using a Trident 9 suppressor.

Anyone have any suggestions and/or advice on this load?

I learned a long time ago that cast bullets thru a can is not the way to happiness!! i didnt see any FMJs on the Rogers site, are they cast? If you are going for sub sonic, then go with the heaviest projo you can use. I use a 160gr plated and ww231 in a AR with a muzzle can, a mp5 SD, and a suppressed Smith 76. All function and are cleaner that any cast bullets will ever be. I worked the load in the SD for function and hit the velocity goal I was looking for in all the guns right at 920+- depending on the barrels and temp. The level of power to make all your noted weapons work reliably is going to be different, unless you opt for the hottest specs on the chart. My above load run the buzzguns well, but are iffy in a glock and one Sig, both with Neilsons (boosters).

The locking piece codes for std and suppressed MP5s are different, as the angles are set to un-lock earlier or later depending on the application, K guns are different also. Yours being a muzzle can, might not have the same level of effect as the SD, but it worth being aware of.

You posted a similar question in June, none of those worked out?

In June I think I was asking about W231. We reload a few rounds but felt it was too smokey and dirty. It was suggested to me that N320 was a lot cleaner then W231. I spent $11.00 more for the N320 but that really isn't a concern. I am also building a 9mm upper for my Colt M16 and I will be using my son's suppressor on it.

I like Titegroup but I feel it burns too hot for repetitive full auto shooting with a suppressor. I am loading up some Titegroup loads for the HK pistols along with the N320. I think I got some suggestions on Titegroup from my previous post.

My one son has an MP5K and the other is converting his MP5 (very early date code) to an MP5F. He picked up a Complete New HK MP5F kit and is sending it Dakota Tactical, AKA Chopstick for conversion. I know I may have to play with a subsonic load for the MP5F when we get it back.

I have checked loading data on N320. I was looking to see if anyone else has used a load similar to what I am planning to load. I am going to kit up my COAL to 1.13.

Thanks for the suggestions and advice.
