hey all, just a little note that there will be some real nice pricing on Remington UMC "range buckets" after sale and rebates for Black Friday.
Yes I know some here are not fond of rebates, but I've used them with Remington ammo in the past and each time it was fine so I know what's on my shopping list.....

For 9mm (350 ct), Cabelas is at $44.99 after rebate and Dick's at $49.98 after. That brings final cost down to about .13-.14 / round which for good range ammo is an excellent price. Other chains may have similar deals, these are just what I've seen so far.
I dont use other calibers but looks like there will be other options as well.

Lastly, as a common courtesy for me placing this info, anyone in the Madison area please make sure to leave a bucket on the shelf for when i get there..... lol

Academy will have the 9mm bucket for $39.99 after rebate; and they'll ship to my house for free - no hassle shopping!

well that's even better; I wasn't aware their bf items could be ordered online (unfortunately no Academy up here) but if they can that sure makes things easier for me.

thanks!

;)

Going to be in Madison on Saturday. Planning on celebrating after the game. Interwebs say you have a Cabelas...

Yep out in Sun Prairie, suburb just a couple minutes outside of Madison. Head east on 151 (East Washington Ave) past the interstate to the Grande Ave/Reiner rd exit; you'll see it off on the left. Maybe 20 mins or so from Camp Randall, not counting all the traffic after a game. Beware of the crazy drivers by the Cabelas/Costco area lol, it's on an "odd" curve that seems to throw some people off.

As for celebrating, hopefully its done by us Badger fans, but either way enjoy the game.

Just bought a bunch of American Eagle 115gr (FMJ and TSJ) from that big South Carolina gun company. After the rebate, they'll cost 15 cents each, delivered.

Seeing Wisconsin today, 14-0 is a real possibility, good luck in Minneapolis, Indianapolis and Pasadena.

Thx.

Hope the visit went well (not talking scoreboard lol), safe travels back.

Yes i think we are a very good team that with the defense can play with anyone. Will need to be a little more consistent though to be able to win should we get into the playoffs.

Thanks. I knew about it but didn't realize it went live today. Ordered my 3 buckets of 9. :D Comes out to 11.67 cents per round with tax and free shipping.

Good call, I just did the same. $5.72/50 rds. is great deal.

I missed out on the $5/(box of 50) rebate last year that was good for up to 40 boxes. By the time I heard about it, EVERY online retailer was sold out! :(

I just ordered a couple from Academy. Since they have no physical stores in my state, I didn't even have to pay tax.

Heck at 11-1/2 cents a round I can just barely beat that reloading 9mm myself.

I'm a bargain hunter and 8-9 cents each is about as cheap as I can do it - that's a nickle apiece for a bare lead bullet and 2 cents a primer and a penny or two for powder. If I use coated or plated bullets, they're more like 7 cents apiece so the cost is more like 10-11 cents a round.

For a penny or two a round (or less) difference, I'm in for buying some factory ammo. I'll save my reloading stuff for other calibers and/or when ammo gets scarce and pricey...
