Just got back from the range after testing out a 9mm load.

I started with 5.9gr of power pistol and 115gr zero bullets I had laying around, Fmj. I stopped at 6.4gr.

CCI primers and R-P once fired brass.

So far, so good. I think the 6.4gr is the max I would dare load to. I think 6.2gr might be a bit safer for plinking. 5.9gr was a bit too soft and would not cycle on one firing.

I seated long to 1.15" over all length.

Does this match other people's results? My chronograph was still packed away otherwise I would have more data for people to ponder.

9MM LOADING

I as well have been loading up some 9's, for the boys as well as myself. Last time I loaded any 9's was 1989--- Right now I am using 115 grain bullet over 14 gr's of Red Dot. I need to dig out the Crony as well. Have been just too many range lizards about to fool with it, but I would like to know what this load is doing. Accuracy is right on so I can't complain. :)

With my 9mm I got the best accuracy with Sierra and Speer 115 fmj bullets at 1.11 oal but then the 125gr Speer GDot #3998 worked best at 1.16 oal.

My best target load for the 115 was 4.5grs of Bullseye.

Just yesterday I fired a few rounds of Hornady 115 gr. XTP loaded with 7.0 grs. of Power Pistol. I shoot this out of a 940 revolver and it's a nice load. I don't know if you want to go this hot in an auto with an unsupported chamber.

I'd like to see that... from a safe distance...
Reckon that should be good for 3200 fps or so.

14 grains of Red Dot in a 115 gr 9mm load? Really? I call BS on that one.

The speer #10 manual has 88gr HP with max 5.6 gr of red dot. @1413. the #10 manual IMO runs hotter loads than most other newer manuals. So.... 14 I don't think so.

When you find out what this load is doing please post results, would love to know what 14 grains of redot would do under a 115 gr. bullet......probably a whole lot of FPS.
