9mm Ramped barrel (S&W)

I have what appears to be a 9mm Clark - Para ramped barrel from a S&W 5906 pistol (4" barrel). I am a RSO and wanted to install the barrel in a frame that I bought. I would need to remove about .040 of an inch from the bottom of the barrel......has anyone done this before? Thanks

I think you have a barrel from an entirely different type of handgun than a 1911 design. You might want to look at a 1911 schematic for your frame to see what you need.

Like CALREB said, that is a barrel for a different style frame, most likely any other S&W than a 1911. You need to buy a different barrel for a 1911 style frame.
