9mm Shield Holster

I am also new to the forum. My favorite holster for the shield is a kestrel holster for IWB. Last year, cost was $35.00 plus $3.00 shipping for black carbon holster. I wear mine pretty much every day and find it to be comfortable and easy to draw from. I agree with other posters about the importance of a good gun belt

IWB, look at Multi Holster Elite. It is Kydex with a fantastic fit to every contour of my Shield and the finish is great. OWB, look at Zlogonje Leather. I have the Elemental series pancake for my Shield and it is a great holster. The Elemental is $72.00.

got a picture of this on? this looks real nice, I'd like to see how it rides. I'd love to go OWB but i'm too paranoid.

Try the desantis nemesis. It'll work for pocket carry and iwb (enough sticky pimples for adequate retention). For $20, you can't go wrong.

The nemesis even fits my Hk P30sk , so I'm assuming XDs or PPS would fit as well.

I run all kydex that I make myself. Since I have to tuck my shirt for work I use tuckable belt clips and other times when not at work just a simple FOMI clip. Always IWB. There's a lot of really good holster makers out there that can found via Facebook. I'd would recommend Leatherneck Tactical, Yeti Tac, or Phlster. Their work is flawless.
Here's a few I built for reference.

I use a DeSantis Cozy Partner, its comfortable, holds the weapon tight, and I really dont notice that I have it on....

RobzGuns hit it on the head. But I will recommend the Desantis pocket-tuk. It is great duel purpose holster. I us it for SofB pocket and aiwb.

I don't have a picture of the holster on, but it rides very close to the body. I don't think you will be disappointed with a Zlogonje holster

I have 2 IWB holsters. 1 hybrid from foxx, the other all leather from captain itch. I like the captain itch better, because I can adjust the cant more than the foxx. If you get an all leather holster, you'll have to break it in to be able to draw quickly. Take a thick plastic bag or 3 shopping bags, put them in the holster, then put the gun in and leave it over night.

By far, my favorite holster is the original Remora IWB holster.

I have an Urban Carry on the way for those occasions where I have no choice but deeper concealment. Obviously I have no input on this one yet.

That other holster I use is one from ActivePro Gear. I wear a lot of cargo pants and cargo shorts. They have a holster that is made to fit in the cargo pocket without allowing the gun to flip around in the pocket. I use this when I'm driving. I move it from IWB to my cargo pocket, which is much easier to access while sitting. I also will keep it there when I'm around the house, just because it's more comfortable if I'm wearing it all day. It's overpriced IMO, but I couldn't find another similar holster from any other maker and I really like the utility. It also has a slot for a spare magazine, although I keep a small flashlight there instead, because the spare mag sometimes interferes with the draw.

As one of the other posters said, be prepared to wind up with a bunch of holsters that you won't use. I'd love to have the money back for all those I'll never wear again. I could easily buy another pistol or two.

I have 6 or 8 holsters for the Shield, but I always go back to a DeSantis Mini-Slide that's actually for a Ruger SR9C. It fits the S&W perfectly, like it was really made for it instead.

I use a Sticky for my Shield, not sure how it will work this summer without a t-shirt against the skin. I'm considering an N82.

I have the alien gear cloak tuck 3, thinking about trying a Desantis Sof-Tuck #106

I like my Blackout Tactical IWB holster a lot. Wore it 13 hours straight the day after it arrived with no issues or discomfort.

Grizzly, I hope you don't mind, I'm copying the flag on the inside of your holster and the red and blue washers :-) My outside will be different. Thanks for sharing!

x2 on the Remora. Mine just came is Saturday so I threw it on working around the house doing fence and plumbing projects. Had on a loose pair of jeans with no belt and it barely wiggled.
Only negative on it was I got the version that carries the extra mag and for me it's too long, Not a big guy. Have one coming without extra mag but with sweat shield. Being in Fl sweat shield will be of more use, Can throw mag in pocket

edit: For CC I carry with the 6 round mag, 7 rounder sticks out too far IMO
