Hey all, this is only my second post in this forum, got a question for all you Shield owners out there. I recently purchased my 9mm Shield, haven't shot it yet. I noticed when I am rotating the takedown lever down to disassemble the weapon, it pushes on my recoil guide rod, causing it to push out a little. Doesn't affect anything, just noticed it doing it, never had that happen on any of my other guns with a takedown lever. Talked to S&W about it, they believe it's a non-issue as long as the weapon cycles and functions properly. Anyone else notice this on their Shields?

the end of the recoil rod is resting on the take down assembly. all is well-go shoot.

It is supposed to, It has to as the take down lever is rotated.
