Recently found at a LGS a 986 with the barrel stamped 9x21. The cylinder appears stainless not titanium. After doing some research it appears these guns were made for export to Italy. Does anyone have any experience with one? Will accuracy suffer with 9x19 ammo? Thanks, Bodyguard.

Sounds like a nice find. Yes, I think these were made for a market that doesn't allow guns in military service cartridges to be sold to the public. The max OAL of the cartridge itself is essentially the exact same as 9MM (.002 difference), so I don't see how accuracy will suffer. You need to use moon clips with both as far as I know in a revolver.

Sweet.
You're making me think of putting an optic on mine....
