Cabela's had Sellier & Bellot primers on sale last week for 17.99..So I ordered 20M... 5000 of each type. Order came in and I got 18M with no SP primers but 3M extra SRs. So I called customer service. Can't return primers so they tried to get me to accept the 3m SRs and they would send me 2M SPs. Not needing the extra Small rifles I told 'em I could return them to the Cabela's in Billings Mt the next time I went there..they just said..no never mind and yesterday I got the last 5M SP primers. Told me to just keep the 3m SRs. So..just saying. in this instance Cabela's was a stand up company. And the price was great on the original order as I got free shipping and 15 dollars off so hazmat only cost me 5 dollars originally. BTW it was a deal posted on Novalty's thread of instock items..Also got 2 cans of Trail Boss

That's even better than the dealI got last week. I went to the LaVista NE(Omaha) store to spend my points on my Cabelas credit card, like I do every year around my birthday. They had most reloading components on sale and that was what I was "needing". Went to the checkout and ended up walking out with a bag full of bullets, primers, and powder that cost me $4.20. When I get home, I look at my receipt and every item is marked "marketing discount" and with a very generous discount , even less than sale prices. CCI primers that were originally $32.99, sale priced at $26.99 were $21.69 on my receipt. 9mm Hornady XTP bullets sold to me for $13.29......similar discount on every item I bought. I emailed customer service to inquire about it and was told I should not have gotten the discount, but they were happy that I was happy. And I am Happy.:D

Don't...I repeat don't get a Cabela's credit card. You'll be sorry. I have one and use it everywhere for everything. Last time I used my points...I didn't Momma used 'em. Not the normal women's stuff either. She bought an AR-15 with 'em. Coyote rifle. I had to keep downsizing the mags cause every time she'd shoot a yote I'd ask..how many rounds did you shoot. She always says..all of 'em. Even though I reload 223 30 rounds for one...or even two coyotes is a bit much..then she shoots 'em with the 45 Colt just to make sure.. Rattlesnakes always get 3 shots of snake shot. Always. Glad I can load them also. Those CCI things cost like a buck and a half...each. They have a big sale going today..may have to go to Billings...sigh!

When I went into my local Cabelas last Monday they had a bunch of Sellier & Bellot SP primers but only a few LP and rifle primers. Picked up 5 bricks for $19.99, and tossed in an extra ammo box to get me over $100 so I could use $20 coupon. After I used up my Cabelas Points it cost me $73.

Ha yes. I take my gals shooting at the club and I can barely get close to a trigger. Spend all my time reloading magazines and chasing my brass. I'm thinking about replacing all their guns with single shots. I had no idea they would take to shooting like they have. It's kind of endearing really. I don't mind.

Thank god for sales though. I might have to get a progressive if they keep shooting so much. They are burning through ammo faster than I can make it on the turret.

We got a new Cabelas here last year. That place can empty my wallet faster than the government in April.

Weird thing I discovered about Cabela's.

I had some coupon or special sent to me, and decided place an order for in store pick-up. Thought I'd use it on Primers.

THEY CAN'T SHIP PRIMERS TOT HE STORE!?...... Maybe the ones in the store are grown back?

They used to allow shipping of hazmat material to the store--but since they still charged the hazmat fee--I am sure they got an earful from customers and no-one ever took them up on it.

With customer service currently swirling around the drain in this country, I'm always glad to read a good story about that and have two of my own.

Yesterday, I received a shipment from Thompson/Center - well, actually from the Missouri company that distributes their accessories. One of the items was a jar of 100 pre-soaked T17 Muzzleloader Cleaning Patches and the lid was not screwed on tightly. Even with the foil seal in place, a lot of the solvent (which is water-based) leaked out and was absorbed by the cardboard box. I called just to let them know they might want to check those lids for tightness before shipping that product and they are sending me another jar of 100 patches at no cost.

Perhaps 10 years ago, I sold an RCBS Grand 12-gauge progressive loader to another trapshooter several states away. I paid a UPS shipping office to pack, insure and ship it and the buyer called to tell me it arrived quite damaged so I told him I would get a claim started for him. He called back an hour later to tell me that he called RCBS to get the parts on their way to him awhile and they were sending them at no charge under their lifetime warranty even though they were damaged, not defective.

We hear so many bad-news stories that I love hearing when something a company makes things work out well for the customer.

Well.. just got back from you know where. Went up there and bought stuff I didn't need of course...BUT got 8 boxes of Federal 7.62 x 51 white box ammo. They were 12.99 a box which is good even for blow away ammo. Also got 2 boxes of 30-30 Federal 150 gr that was marked down to 10.99. And a decent Bushnell Trophy 3-9 x 40 DOA scope. It was on sale for 130 bucks with a 30 dollar rebate...Then there was the stuff momma bought. When we got to the checkout we got further discounts that we didn't expect. The scope was under 112 bucks 30-30 was 9.80 and the 308 was 10.60 a box. Momma's stuff I have no idea..but she was happy. Used the points ..Still have points. I must admit...there were quite a few people there. Way too many in fact. There was a great thing that happened though. We bought Diesel Fuel at the Sam's Club next door to Cabela's. Price was 1.86 9/10s. First time under 2 bucks in a looonnngggg time

I was a big spender today with Cabelas, when the OCD and Cheap Saver-Of-Bucks in me ordered another Cabelas 9mm ammo box (getting me up to 10 boxes). On sale for $1.89 after tax, and Free Shipping.

Good thing our Cabela's is a long way from where we live. My wife has already banned me from cabela's. Waiting until Costco opens up. Frank

Oh yeah...Costco..a woman's Cabela's! We also have a Costco in Billings. Hate to go there. It's just a yuppie-ized Sam's Club with slightly higher prices Kinda hate to go to Sam's Club too. Everything is in supersize packaging. Heck there is only momma and me. Main reason we go to Sam's is they seem to have the better meats at slightly lower prices. We get a couple of roasts and I cut them into steaks and smaller roasts...LOL Both places have the lowest fuel prices around generally
