I'm enjoying a cool August Sunday morning in the Ozarks. Low humidity too. Decided it was a good morning to sit out on the deck with my camera and take a few pictures from my rocker.

I love the Ozarks. Looks like great weather there and you are capturing some really nice wildlife images. It's just been oppressively hot here in Mississippi, but we are finally cooling down a bit and I took advantage of it with a three-mile walk this morning.

Southwest Ohio is having some incredible August weather also. Not a lot of hummingbirds but I am out on the deck with the dogs.

In N. Ga at daughters and its like winter time back home, 60s-70s. Headed to S.C., N.C. then mountains of Va. this week so guess it will continue to be cool.
Great pictures! Thanks for sharing those. Looks like Daisy is enjoying the nice weather, too.

Well all the snow on the mountain near here finally melted yesterday. It's usually gone by July 15 to the 23...4 of the last 5 pn the 23rd. Wife's birthday. Ut has benn unusually cool this year Was 45 yesterday morning. 53 this morn. We usually average about 60. Hasn't been over 94 yet this summer and usually mid 80s most days. I read a little blurb the other day...Seriously...Said a good chance of a mini ice age coming. I'm about ready anyway!. We've usually had at least 10-12 days over 100 by now
When I was a skinny kid I would tread water like the humming birds wings work. I could get myself out of the water down to my navel.
Quigley and I had a little chore to complete out at our gun club today.
Oxen in a ditch kinda thing, if you know what I mean.
It was raining with a good wind and 71°.
I'm so used to the recent 110° heat index days, that I thought I was going to freeze!
I'll gladly take it though!

We sold the place we had in Izzard Co. About 35 acres on the White River...neat little place not too far from Calico Rock. Wasn't a lot of traffic in the area (dirt roads like here in Wyoming ). Bought a few guns down there...mostly good 22s. Summer was usually hot as the hinges of hell. Had a little stream through the place...daughter caught lots of crawdads for bai.....
Another rare thing...we just had thunder lightning and a brief rain shower...very rare here in the summer

We could sure use it. Especially in the woods. Don't need more places shut down because of fires.
Not only are you a masterful story teller, you're skillful with a camera.

That's a beautiful area. Been through Calico Rock many times, neat little town. I was through there on my Harley earlier this summer and stopped at the Printing Press Cafe for lunch.
I have never been to Wyoming, but it's on my places to visit list.

Faulkner , the girls and I , also Mrs. cherrypointmarine , would trade places with you and Daisy in a second . It's been in the 100's here and just miserable . We won't get a break until sometime around Halloween .

Thunder storms in NW Alabama, when the thunder boomers come my BIL goes back to Vietnam, Parkinson's +++, he hears arte/incomming. Corpsman 3rd Marine Inf. Very sad.
