In the last few months, been fortunate enough to trip across these two PC guns. A 945-40 and a 1911-2 PC Doug Koenig in .38 Super.

Loaded up some Super today so hope to get to the range this week. Was at Cabela's last weekend, they had Super ammo 50 for 50 bucks. Instead, I bought 500 Hornaday HAP 115 grain bullets for 80 bucks. Loaded up 100 this morning.

I picked up a DK 1911-2 38super a couple of months ago . I have more than my share of semi auto PC guns , but it's quickly become one of my favourites , well maybe IS my favourite . I've always liked 38super , but this gun ignited a passion for the cartridge .

A couple of weeks ago I took the DK and my Colt Super Elite Gold Cup National Match to the range . I shot both and let my range buddies shoot both also . The DK outshot the Colt hands down , it was a consensus among all of us , and my one buddy is a hard core Colt guy . Someone else here recently bought one , and he sang the praises of this gun also . Let us know what you think .

It still makes me sad that S&W got the idea to make a super tiny 945 in .40cal but they never made any of the full 5-inch target 945's in .40cal.

Hell, it's probably better this way. If they had they likely would have been extremely limited and hard to find.

Beautiful! I was looking up Shorty 40s earlier and I literally found out this morning that there is a 945 in 40cal. Sevens is right--they should've made a full size.

It may not be a 945 in .40 , but a 40Limited is a fine piece if you like the .40 round .

I've spent the afternoon online searching and found out about that one too! I bought a 3566 a year ago from a member here (you were helpful in guiding me--you may not remember). The 40 Limited looks exactly (almost) like the 3566, which I love. I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on the Shorty 40 earlier because the 40 Limited is at the top of the list now, along with the SD40 and the 945-40. There's too many that I neeeeeeed

Took both to the range this week. The 945-40 has a bigger bark than I thought - a smaller gun but is pretty heavy. Smooth shooter though.

The 1911-2 is another matter. Wow. Makes even me look good. Smooth and easy to shoot with a great trigger.
