Deadly shooting here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Story from my nephew is this:

Guy A gets beat up by Guy B who was riding a motorcycle. Guy A goes and gets his friends (adult male, adult female and a 14 year old youth). The group find Guy C who they mistakenly think is Guy B. They approach him with baseball bats. He doesn’t know what is going on and why (obviously) and draws his firearm, fatally shooting the two adult males. Adult female draws a firearm and is wounded by Guy B. Not sure why the adults would have involved a 14 year old youth but I’m guessing he is traumatized by seeing his acquaintance’s fatally shot and will hopefully learn the lesson of not going to look for trouble.

Reminds me of something that happened in Juarez some 50 years ago (when travel back across the border was so common that it felt like Juarez and El Paso were the same city).

A guy went after someone who had beat him up, and was carrying one of those hooked carpet knives. He walked into a bar, and then spun a guy around on the bar stool, carving an X in his chest that cut enough vessels to have the guy bleed out in minutes. The guy in the bar stool was wearing a similar jacket to the guy that was being sought. He died without knowing exactly why he had been attacked.
