How versatile is Bianchi's CD-126 cross-draw "yank-through" holster?

I bought Bianchi's CD-126 cross-draw "yank-through" holster specifically for Laurie's Colt Commander semiautomatic. She and her Commander are in Washington state for the summer, I have an SP101 with 4.25-inch barrel. Despite their dissimilar shapes can Bianchi's CD-126 safely and securely carry SP101? For me, the CD series has functioned properly - sometimes for handguns that did not exist during holster's production life.

IN my experience good holsters are not cross-compatible between revolvers and semi-automatics. Too much difference in shape.
