A double barreled 1911?

Well, at least 'em for-n-ers ain't skeerd to do sump'n new.

Seems we's skeerd to build new stuff.

I bet it'd outsell Desert Eagles if it hit the shelf- at the same price- just gold plate it. :D:eek::p

It's a bit early for an April Fools gag but I guess whoever created this one didn't want to be late. As noted previously it's not legal to own a post 1986 firearm that will fire more than one round with a single pull of the trigger. In addition between the size of the grip and the size of the gun it's not even close to being practical.

Have you ever seen this????

Just back from a big gun show called the IWA in Germany.

There was a big poster with a 1911 with one big slide and two barrels.
I thougt nice photoshop. NO. It is real.
A 1911 with two barrels and two triggers. If you place the trigger in the middle You can't reach it.
It is realy cool. Sorry for the bad pic's. The licht was bad.
Bud I hope you get the idear. The have produced it as a tribude to the Colt 1911. The production starts in september. The brand is Arsenal arms.
I like it.

There's another thread running on this.
Some wise man pointed out that this thing fulfills a true need.
You can take it to the range and throw brass on people on BOTH sides of ya!

Oh wait, here’s an interesting statement: “The AF2011-A1 (“Twenty Eleven” for aficionados) can be ordered either with 2 independent triggers and one sear group (left or right, with user-interchangeability for right or left operations) or with 2 triggers permanently joined and the choice of 1 or 2 sear groups.” With two separate triggers and sear groups, it would be the equivalent of a double-barrel shotgun or double rifle with double triggers, as each pull of a trigger would fire only one shot. The joined version would be considered a “machine gun” though as defined by the BATFE, as it would fire two rounds with a single pull of the trigger.

In the pictures, the last one shows a pair of cased/engraved/gold inlaid .45s, along with a smaller version - .32ACP perhaps?

Reminds me of the bolt-action double rifle I saw at the Wanenmacher gun show a few years ago – two complete separate actions and barrels side by side, operated by one bolt handle.

Another fine Italian firearm brought to you by a country that didn't beat anybody in a war. Another answer for an unasked question.

Para Ordnance builds a double stack 45 with 16 round capacity (1 +15) that can be held in one hand. Add an after-market compensated barrel and you can fire 16 rounds accurately as fast as you finger pulls the trigger.

Whoever gets one of these monsters better have a bear paw-sized shooting hand to hang on with ... that double-wide magazine looks like a brick.

Well, that's one way to make a 1911 feel like a Glock!

I rather like it. Sometimes fun to think "out of the box" so to speak. Wonder how well the barrels are regulated?

An example of engineers with too much free time.

Why can't they design something useful, like a clothes dryer that doesn't lose socks?!

;)

I thought this comment was funny from under the video on youtube:

So...*** is the CNC machine sitting idle on holidays?..let's make something totally useless and inane and see if we can get a bunch of mall ninjas to buy it! Eureka! It worked! Mall Ninjas everywhere just jumped up and down with joy their fatty folds rippling like oceans in a high wind!
