A double barreled 1911?

Seen it and feel that it's nothing but a publicity stunt and likely an April Fools gag. Because if the ATF doesn't rule it an Illegal Machine Pistol I'll be completely shocked.

Well, I think it is weird and cool all at the same time. Shirley:Dthey have gotten a ruling from ATF before spending all the time and money to develop it. I wonder how much it costs?

It`s old stuff.

Rossi used to make a nice double barreled .22 pistol which sometimes some come up for sale- I've been looking for one.

The boys over in Ducktown TN make their "Ducktown Derringer" in a double barreled .45/.410 too...and it's very affordable, but not pleasant to shoot!!!

Lastly, if you want a big bore double pistol without any red tape, try one of the nicely built Pedersoli 20x20 Howdah pistols. I've wanted one, but I just can't bring myself to part with the cash for it.

There are many companies that cut down Stoeger and other double shotguns legally if you want to get a tax stamp.

There's been a couple of threads on the double 1911 here before- it'll never be imported as it falls under the NFA act as a machinegun with two shots fired with each pull of the trigger.

I think that somewhere ago some one made a movieprop submachinegun
just like that twin 1911, but it only fired blanks.

This one has been nagin' me, untill i found the 1994 "GunWorld" mag.

It was called the "Serlea ACE"
fires 9mm blanks at 3000 rpm

US Submachineguns J-Z

SerLea ACE
An unusual double-barreled 9mmP submachinegun, the SerLea was featured in the action movie “Direct Hit.” A Lebanese immigrant to the US who was a gunsmith and veteran of Beirut street battles developed it. The SerLea was designed to provide a high-burst-rate weapon for street fighting. The weapon features twin barrels, twin magazines, and twin bolts, with a synchronizing mechanism to turn the weapon into a single high-rate-of-fire submachinegun. The Los Angeles police department showed interest in the design, but by 1997 the weapon remained primarily in specialized gun collectors’ hands. The weapon may fired one barrel at a time only if one magazine is inserted.
Twilight 2000 Notes: Other than the two that the LAPD has, and isolated original copies in civilian hands, some 30 or so of these weapons were used by US special operations forces. In addition, some 4 dozen or so were made during the war and passed out to friends of the designer.
Merc 2000 Notes: Only 4 of these weapons exist, two in the hands of the LAPD SWAT unit.
