Hoping a fellow member might be able to help shed some light on a mystery. I consider myself a good researcher but have come up empty one this one.
It is a 629-5 PC variant 2 5/8" barrel. Product code is 170175, S/N EBC0020. My example appears unfired with everything including the outer shipper.
A detailed search here yielded only one thread from many years ago. It mentioned that 150 were produced, but I can not verify that. There were some references that the EBC prefix might be Ellet Brothers or Elliot Brothers, again not verified.
I have only seen one other example of this model. It was S/N EBC0027 on one of the big auction sites. I was outbid on it by another prominent member here several years ago.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
