Got to looking today at my 41's and realized I have a condition. Don't know the medical term but I think I have a severe case! Currently have 4 receivers and about 18 to 20 barrels...
My only use for them is Steel Challenge which I dearly love.

I don't see what you think your problem is. Nill grips? No problem. You don't even have putty on them yet.

Are you buying 22 ammo by lot number yet?

If you had obsessive-compulsive behavior you'd be shooting/reloading long range rifle. ;)

Try these links:

Shooting Sports USA | Accurizing the S&W Model 41 "What follows is an account of a job where I upgraded a new S&W Model 41 .22-cal. semi-automatic pistol to match condition, for about half the total investment in a stock, high-end European match gun."

Other than having way too many sets of stocks that won't fit my "left" hand; I'd say you have a really nice group of Model 41's and appurtenances there MauleN12VR! :)

Long Range Rifle

"If you had obsessive-compulsive behavior you'd be shooting/reloading long range rifle. "

Now that you mention it, I DO have a couple of those. A 40X in 308 Win and a 700 in 6.5 x 47 Lapua. Both very heavily modified and both identical except for color of stock and caliber. McMillan A5 adjustable, Bartlein 5R barrels, Timney 8 oz triggers, Nightforce 14 x 42's and detachable magazine conversions. I use them to shoot F class.

Obviously an advanced case. But it's equally obvious there's no way in hell you're going to detox, so I guess you're just going to get worse. And worse. And worse. :D

Is there a source for the extended mag butt plates?? I remember looking once but was not successful. Thanks.

If you have a surplus set of Nill grips laying around, please let me know [emoji23].

And yes, you have a serious condition.

I don't see a problem or condition.
I have a few 41s and quite a few spare barrels, and lots more magazines and parts. And I don't see a problem, well other than I actually don't know how many I have last count was over 3 dozen

Sorry to hear that you're both "terminal" with no cure. I have a similar affliction; Chief Specials ( pre 36); no cure:o BTW your 41 malady is more attractive than mine ;)

M41

Pretty sure you have fewer barrels than your wife has shoes. So no problem.

My only obsession is with my 1962 Model 41 ship date and serial number verified with Roy Jinks before he retired. An original mint gem! Shoot it now and then lovingly!

Do you do your own machine work? I got to hold a Bob Loveless M41 with ventilated barrels. Got to bid on it too, but I had to stop and others kept going! lol Beautiful guns.

I do most of my own machine work. I have a mill and a lathe that I use for personal stuff. Just a hobby but I enjoy it. Eric at EWK arms does excellent work if you want to have one worked on. Thanks
