My lovely wife of 52 years is a Alabama football fan and I root for Auburn most of the time. We are a divided household. :-)

We are in the den watching one of the many football games on today, when she casually asks.

"You know how to make Auburn cookies?" I, sensing a good joke, played along.

No, how? I answered.

"First you mix all the ingredients in a Iron Bowl, then you beat them vigorously for about 3 hours."

Nough said. :-)

Happy New Year!

I like your wife's sense of humor

now down where I come from,
we have the crimson tide
its power has been felt throughout this land,
and its known both far and wide!

so want you please stand with me,
and cheer when the tide rolls bye?
or must you be, one who flees,
when there is no place to hide?

now I'm not cheering the ball team
but the blood from Jesus's side.
Roll Tide!, Roll Tide!
