I just had to post this as I've had the best customer service from S&W in the last year.
First example is I received a 442-2 in a trade about a year ago and it arrived without a key for the IL. I was frantic because here in super liberal Calif. you must have a key for the IL lock to register it along with a trigger lock.
I e-mailed S&W about getting a key and they immediately sent out two of them and I received them in just a couple of days!
Next example is I just purchased a set of grips from the "Accessories/Misc." board here for a Smith revolver I purchased new in 1990. As I'm awaiting their arrival, I looked at my gun and noticed that the stock grip screw had a slight "mushroom" to it that came that way from the factory.
I e-mailed S&W and asked them how I could buy a replacement grip screw and a really nice gent named Steve e-mailed me back the same day and said to e-mail him with the serial number of my gun and he would look into it.
I did and the same day he e-mailed back and said the grip screw was on it's way to me!
Folks, it doesn't get any better than that!
