A fun item for Ballistol fans

Balistol is one of the very few gun products I've never tried-don't know why as it is very popular-will have to get a can. Got pretty much all the rest of the popular brands….,,,

The nostalgic bottle is cool!!

Ballistol has a distinct aroma (odor) that some find a bit off-putting, but at least smelling it lets you know the gun has been treated. As for the retro bottle, I guess I should have one to go with all my other retro stuff (including myself) so an order should be forthcoming!

Well....... as I did state above, I just ordered a 3 pack of Ballistol. Two 6 oz. Aerosol cans and one 16 ounce liquid with spray pump. For some reason I've got pretty much every popular and some not so popular brands of gun juice but never got around to trying the Ballistol.

The main reason for buying it was because I am a huge tool guy, have a pretty well stocked workshop and use my tools and equipment on a daily basis. Living in the South now (even though my workshop is climate controlled), I wipe my tools down after using them and have been using CLP but would like something that is totally non toxic and that also works. The Ballistol might just be that ticket - time will tell. The CLP works very well but is not non toxic.

I have heard that the Ballistol is not he best smelling product - maybe why I have never bought it before, but again, I will know within a week - lol.

The key to Ballistol is that it contains no petroleum and is skin safe.
More than skin safe, in Europe they sell a medicinal version (possibly the same stuff but in a sterile bottle) called Hausmittel ("home remedy") for treating minor abrasions etc.

Used to be available on Amazon. I've used the regular stuff for minor scratches without any problems.

Weird, but I love the smell of Ballistol! Maybe this is like the cilantro thing some people have. Anyone else like the smell?

My nose maybe has some issues.... I don't feel that putrefacted foot smell. At the contrary, when I open the bottle I feel mint and eucalypthus. Really, I'm serious....
