I am looking for any suggestions on a good book about revolvers etc..or hand guns in general.

For Smith & Wesson, the Standard Catalog of S & W 3rd edition by Supica and Nahas; S & W 1857-1945 by Jinks and Neal, and History of S & W by Jinks. For a general reference, Handguns of the World by Ezell comes to mind, but I'm sure there are many others.

Fast & Fancy Revolver Shooting by Ed McGivern.

The Snubby Revolver by Ed Lovette.

No Second Place Winner by William H. Jordan.

Those three come to mind immediately.

What type of information are you looking for? The NRA's Basics of Pistol Shooting is a good starting point. For S&W specific information, the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson 3rd edition (Supica & Nahas) is a must.

General info on Revolvers, learning the basics of how they work & tuning/maintenance without having to be an advanced gunsmith, also just some good books,Sounds as if the ones listed above would be a good startig point. Thanks for your replies.

I am currently working my way through "Fast and Fancy" by McGivern. I am finding useful information about shooting revolvers but it is a chore. The book is poorly written and you really have to dig out the core pieces that provide practical advice. Ol' McGivern was pretty (very?) wordy. Seems like he took 25 words to say what others might write in ten. That said, I still consider it a classic work on revolver shooting.
