What gun are you on the lookout for?

I don't have too many left on the wish list. The S&W revolvers I'd still like to get are the 696ND, a 5" K frame, a 2" or 3" NY-1, and a Victory. The other handguns I'd like are a Colt WW I 1911 repro and stainless CCO. I'd also really like a 1928A-1 Thompson and a BAR, but I'll need to win the lottery for those.

Other than needing to find an old "tackle box" 2" model 34, to use as an everyday working /utility gun (just can't bring myself to putting any finish wear or marks on my pristine examples), I'm pretty content with what I have now.
While I'm not looking forward to the time when I'll have to start selling things off, after reading all of the previous posts, it is good knowing I have several of the firearms that others are searching for and may be able to help a few people fill their empty slots in the future.

I can get close with a 4-screw 14-1, but not a 14...Sorry......Ben

I kind of just like going to town and seeing what's out there. Right now, I'm on a revolver kick. But not really looking for anything particular. If I found a 2 1/2" 19 or 66 or even a 4" 29 at a reasonable price, I'd be all over it.
I've wanted a Model 19 2.5" for a long time but didn't want to pay $1000+ for a nice one. Stopped in my LGS for no particular reason last week and there it was in excellent condition $742 OTD. I think I'm done now. No more room in safe & 75yrs old in a couple weeks.

This won't help but I bought one of those back in the late 1970s or early 1980s brand new for $144. While on a motorcycle ride, I stopped at a hardware store/gun shop and spotted in the counter's display case. A guy had ordered it but never paid for it and it had been there for a while so I paid for it and returned later that day in me car.

I bought it thinking of it being good to carry while hunting groud hogs my in-law's farm when the hay was too high for prone rifle shooting. It shot great with 148-grain wadcutters but the sight wouldn't adjust in such a way that 110-grain hollow points could be used. Remington changed the sight blade with one that allowed zeroing with both loads. Foolishly, I sold it a long time ago.

Good luck with your search.

I'd like to find a model 57 in blue with 4 or 6" bbl. I've had several over the years, but I'm currently without. I picked up a NIB Colt 1911 70 series in 38 super in a trade that I was hoping to find someone with a 57 who is interested in doing a swap. I just keep putting the word out + hopefully I'll find that person. The definition of good business is when EVERYONE in a deal is happy.
