A Great Escape... Almost

This brilliant thief inconspicuously sneaks away from the scene of the crime.

However, the eagle-eyed Swansboro police sensed something did not look right and got lucky with the arrest.

You will have to look very closely at the image to see what tipped them off.

Almost as bad as the guy stealing the ATM and when he took of his rear bumper came off and left his tag there. Yep prison is full of Darwin winners.

Even to an untrained less than astute individual, one might suspect something is out of place.

Congress should pass a law that gives stupid criminals the same right to succeed as smart ones, by handicapping the police when they go after really dumb criminals, and by handicapping the courts when they put the truly stupid on trial.

It is only fair and would go a long way to protecting the civil rights of the truly stupid. It is certainly an oversight by congress that they have yet to protect the civil rights of this growing minority, known as stupid folk.

The police probably would not have noticed it if he had had a proper license plate and inspection sticker on the safe. But you just can't hope to pull a trailer of any kind down the highway if it is not properly licensed and inspected these days. It is always the smallest of details that foul up the master mind criminals.
