MCC NY is primarily a pre-trial federal jail. It is located directly across the street from the federal courthouse. I have been there many times delivering inmates for court, and transporting inmates who are convicted to USMS air lifts for dispersal to various federal prisons. For a variety of reasons, the place is an armpit.

I am curious where the fed govt. is going to house pre-trial inmates? Maybe MDC Brooklyn?
