Gee what could go wrong. Human rights groups will up in arms about this issue

I remember some Star Trek NG episodes along those lines. When you get good at implanting things into minds, people will believe anything! Who to marry, who to vote for, & who to assonate.

Try and remember this from the old Superman show: Truth, Justice and the American way. Then hold this up to that standard.

I read a science fiction book once where they had a similar technology. They tried showing serial killers how the victims felt during a attack. The killers got off on it instead of learning remorse.

Having a career in Law Enforcement and studied criminals quite a bit in my degree program. Most people cannot even begin to fathom the minds and thought processes of most serial and life long criminals. They do not think like most average or normal folks. It is always the victims fault for putting themselves in the circumstance that allowed the criminal to commit their act. The average person would not be able to sleep at night if they truly realized how perverse and warped the criminal mind is.
What is truly unsettling, is that we are now seeing these same criminal thought processes in younger ages and more are now committing truly heinous criminal acts and the juvenile justice system is not able to deal with these serious criminal juveniles.

I’m not interested in rehabilitation of a convict. I don’t want them to experience grief for a short time then be released. For me it’s about PUNISHMENT! You took a life or somehow impacted a life so significantly that you’re in jail. Now you can spend your life in a cage. I don’t care if you ever show remorse. But you will spend your life in a cage.
