I Hope you do Leon... given your board name and all!
I was born and grew up in North Dakota. When I was in my teens I visited relatives in Alabama. It was my first trip Down South. They had a guitar, and asked me to sing a song for them. I played the Hank Williams song, "Hey Good Lookin'." My cousin's husband said, "That shore do sound purdy with your Yankee accent."
I thought to myself, "What accent? I'm singing it regular."
We played Bluegrass and Old Time music for the rest of the night. Good times.
Hey, I like banjos. But then I like bagpipes.
Why do bagpipe players walk around when they play?
They're trying to get away from the noise.
I really do like banjos AND bagpipes. But has anybody heard bagpipes indoors at very close range???![]()
I thought you would never notice.
I can tell ya'll don't know the difference in a violin and a fiddle.
What the difference between a violin and a fiddle?
A violin has strings, a fiddle has strangs.
Have a blessed day,
Leon
The drone of the pipes is one of the world's most recognizable sounds. When you hear it, either someone is dead or about to be.
For another perspective, here's a serious article on the banjo from - wait for it - The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (!)
