Why do bagpipe players walk around when they play?
They're trying to get away from the noise.
I really do like banjos AND bagpipes. But has anybody heard bagpipes indoors at very close range???

I was born and grew up in North Dakota. When I was in my teens I visited relatives in Alabama. It was my first trip Down South. They had a guitar, and asked me to sing a song for them. I played the Hank Williams song, "Hey Good Lookin'." My cousin's husband said, "That shore do sound purdy with your Yankee accent."
I thought to myself, "What accent? I'm singing it regular."
We played Bluegrass and Old Time music for the rest of the night. Good times.

Nice and informative article. Among the many styles of music I enjoy, bluegrass figures prominently, and many, many years ago I wanted to be an engineer. Who knew that required mathematical aptitude?
I love good banjo music. I'm also fond of bagpipes. So sue me.
