I PURCHASED SEVERAL HUNDRED CAST BULLETS FOR MY 455 SMITH AND 455 WEBLEY. THEY WERE TO BE 265 GN RN HOLLOW BASE. THE SHAPE IS PERFECT BUT IAM CONCERNED WITH THE WEIGHTS. THE BULLETS RANGE FROM 275 GNS TO 315 GNS. THE LENGTH RANGES FROM .852" TO .914" . THE EXTRA WEIGHT IS DUE TO THE DISTANCE FROM THE BASE TO THE FIRST GREASE GROVE. THESE DISTANCES VARY WITH WEIGHT. EXAMPLE HEAVIER BULLETS THE DISTANCE FROM BASE TO GROVE IS LONGER. HERE LIES THE PROBLEM, THIS SITUATION CAN'T WORK FOR GOOD ACCURACY. I WAS THINKING OF TRIMMING THE BASE TO ARRIVE AT THE DESIRED WEIGHT. LOTS OF WORK, BUT CAN BE DONE, ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS. WEIGHT DIFFERENCIAL OF 45 GNS.

Send them back or at least contact the seller. They should make them good.

And stop yelling. Lower case is your friend.
If the bullets are various lengths, the seller should have already sorted them or corrected the mold.

I have to agree.

I tried to explain this to another forum member too.

When you aim a firearm, there are certain protocols that everyone should use or you will not be the kind of shooter you want to be.

Same on these forums. There is proper etiquette or protocols here too. Using all caps is tantamount to screaming at someone.

Just sayin' :)

Sounds like either 2 different moulds used for your varying bullet lengths, or just plain poor manufacturing QC.

You can go thru all kinds of calisthenics sending them back, or trimming them, or you can simply weigh & sort into like weight groups and load & use them as-is.

Whatever your course of action, be sure the manufacturer is aware of your problem. If they will pay for return freight, definitely send them back.
