Saturday morning at 7am, snowing, windy and 5" of white stff on the ground,
with this early storm lasting to 9am.

Then the "Big" front hitting Reno at 4pm until 9pm, for the heavy section of the storm.

There might be a good chance that I 80 over the pass to Sacramento, may be shut down
due to weather and or crazy drivers.

The pellet stove is in it's full glory.
Hang in there people.

at 9:30am snow now at 9", with MORE to come.

3/4/2024 Monday, 11am news;

The summits have reported 96" of fresh snow and advise no back country travel
due to high warnings of snow slides that are happening...
with more on the way.

Looks like our water conditions will be around average this year, for the area ponds and rivers.

Stay safe.

High winds here left over 20,000 without power for a while on Saturday. Lots of trees uprooted. Only damage at my place is that the TV antenna coax has come adrift. Man is coming tomorrow to fix it. I don't do two-storey ladders.

It is 80 today in Missouri and tomorrow it will be 56. Hey it is March and I have seen snow the first of April

In mid-Ohio around 1990 we had a short warm winter. On April 4-5 we had a snow storm with 4' drifts in my yard and across the road. All gone in 2 days.

This too will pass!

Ivan

Visiting in Charleston SC this week. Picked a good week. Got a little sun at a beach yesterday but it's not hot like summer. About the same back in PGH. No snow. No lawn mowing yet. It's all good.
I would like to see the car make it anywhere in ten feet of snow.
