A look back...

I think you're right! That started it all! My father was a firearms instructor when I was growing up. I'd go shoot off to the side with his classes...went from a 22 revolver, then .38 special, then .357 while shooting with his classes over the years.

I also found a toy handgun when I was a kid.

It was totally rusted, had no stocks, half of the cylinder was missing. But...it looked like a small version of a S&W M&P 4 inch and since I had no money and no alternative it was my primary "Cops and Robbers" got-to-gun for years.

Cool! Yeah...this one is smaller too. I had this and a wood and steel M1

I reload my caps...very tedious:-) Caps are a little cheaper than .22LR, and slightly more that 9mm:-)

My "play" rifle was n Egyptian Remington Rolling Block for years.

Nice! Both my son and daughter grew up with one very similar. Daughter's had pink grips:-) My son also had a couple 1911s, an Uzi, and a Steyr Aug in his arsenal:-)

If I had found that....

If I had found that in my front yard, two things would happen:

1) I'd have a brick at the prospect of having a REAL gun even if it was used in a murder and buried for years.

2) My Dad would take it away from me because he didn't mind kids having air and bb guns but a 'real' gun, even one corroded beyond any possibility of firing? Heck no.

But it's a cap gun.
