Plz Excuse my English I'm not fluent in it
It's a big thread, but my problem is bigger

So, building experience is indeed the result of accumulating of mistakes, And getting a losing deals is a hard way to learn. Hopefully we can try to correct mistakes.

Please I Need your Help.

I bought this Snub. Its Small, 5 shots, good for CC..but can't figure out a problem to only find another one.

Will post a few pictures now, when I get home, will have my tools and show you all the internal parts. So Please follow up.

1 - The Cylinder: it shouldn't rotate when it is in place. if you try to rotate it by hand, it will. So I guessed it is either the cylinder Stop or it's Spring.

1.1 - I've tried another stiff spring. The cylinder now locks but the trigger jammed. If you try to rotate, it will, but not as easy as before.

1.2 - I had a look at the cylinder stop itself, It shows worn on the edges. So i put the spring back and ordered a new cylinder Stop. Now hoping to fit and this first problem resolved. (I live outside US so i order from europe and its extremely hard to find parts. Extremely hard)

2 - The Timing: the revolver is out of time.

2.1 - The Extractor is .. well... I don't know if it is Genuine already for s&w . You can have a look at it. And It's Worn. If I cocked the hammer Slowly, the revolver is out of time. Coking fast, will be in time. Worn extractor. I can't find a replacement online. What shall I Do to fix it ? Should I try to fill the worn edges by welding ? Or epoxy ? Epoxy can work ?

2.2 - the Hand. The Hand doesn't look right. It also shows little worn on the tip. I read that putting an oversized hand may be a temporary fix for the timing problem. Found a Few Hands online, but they may be for K frame. Longer than mine. J Frame is smaller. Will try to make a Hand myself. But I need the exact length and width for it. I don't trust the hand installed on my revolver. Can't buy a longer hand and work it to fit right ?? Will post photos of the hand when I get home.

3. The Hammer and firing pin. The firing pin is not original obviously, so i think that the timing problem broke the original firing pin, and they do replace it with a Homemade firing Pin.
Can't find a Hammer online, but I think when the timing issue fixed, the pin will eventually fell on the primer not the Rim and will Work.

4. The Yoke Barrel. It has a small fracture. See for yourself. Shall I weld it or buy a Yoke ? There is one online but not cheap. If I weld it , shall it Hold ? How much pressure is on the Yoke Barrel when firing? Can I leave it as it is ? Weld it ? Or replace it.

5. Thank you for your patience, if I have an answers for these questions above i wouldn't bother you and ask. Forgive me.

Thanks.

Welcome and sorry for your troubles.

Before others comment on the specifics of your mechanical issues, I think the main problem with the quality of the gun and parts is it is an S & W copy. It appears to have factory markings on it but the appearance of the parts and the gun overall suggest it is not a factory product. Many of these copies are known to have been made in India and various parts of the Middle East and SW Asia.

So trying to fit S & W parts onto it when the ones currently in the gun are handmade for this specific gun may not be possible. And as you already noted, replacing what appears to be one broken or worn part will lead to another part not functioning. You can try to modify, repair or replicate the parts in it but I suspect that is all that can be done for it.

Maybe an Eibar? Spanish copy of a S&W.

I agree with the other posters....unless you are in a locale where you have no other choice, that gun is scrap.

Your revolver is worn out. I am not even sure that it is a S&W. Sorry.

I would bet it's a Spanish knock-off. Little indication on the recoil shield of shooting, yet other indications are of a low-grade steel, and shoddy workmanship. ;)

The other members nailed it. It's a black market copy of a S&W Chiefs Special, possibly make in the Khyber Pass.

The Pakistani's have been knocking off guns for 100 years. Here's a review of a Colt copy.

... and here's a copy of S&W semi-auto.

The grips are definitely not s&w, but check this Marking, looks genuine to me. I am not sure anyway. Will disassemble and show you from inside later.

My biggest concern is the Yoke. Shall I weld it ? Replace it? Can't sell it in this condition. Can't cheat.

Price of the Guns in my country is 7- 10 times more than the price in the States.

The frame contours show that, despite the S&W logo mark, it's definitely NOT a legitimate S&W revolver. And I agree with others that the parts are made of inferior metals and worn beyond repair. I wouldn't expect real S&W parts to even work in this piece.

I agree with the others.......

Not only is it a bad copy it's worn out. If you are desperate to get it to work, though, I would find a really good gunsmith and have them rework it. I think you would be better off scrapping it and finding an authentic example of an S&W model 36 or similar.

Any time and money spent attempting to repair that weapon is a waste. Best to deactivate it and hang it on a nail somewhere for a conversation piece. A couple swipes with a file to the firing pin so it cannot possibly reach a cartridge should safely decommission it so no one will get hurt firing it.

Chunk it up in the back of the closet shelf and forget it. Not worth repair, even if it turns out to be a genuine S&W. Good luck.

Here is a real S&W trade mark stamp

Very sorry to hear of your revolver's problems.

Here's a photo of a S&W Chiefs Special from approximately the
same era as your knock-off. You can see the logo is different than
yours.
