For a lefty it doesn't get any better than this -

A minty 40 year old Model 36 and a 50 year old LH George Lawrence suede-lined holster to
caress it ever so firmly!

Congrats fellow lefty

Great looking match-up, congrats! I too enjoy the challenge of matching up an older S&W with a correct left-handed holster. My model 13 in an Alessi IWB:

Well, I'm not a lefty but I too like finding older holsters that are period appropriate for my S&W's. This Gibbs of Texas holster is lined with what looks like smooth glove leather.

Introducing my left handed 11 year old boy to the art of holster making is going to be a nice warm and dry winter project for us. He has a S&W Mod. 15 and a Ruger .22 auto pistol that he need lefty holsters for. I used to make custom holsters years ago and other people liked them enough that they had me make holsters for them. I never thought much of them, they weren't special or fancy I just made them to serve a purpose. Leather holsters are so expensive and left handed is hard to find that making it is well worth the time and effort.
