It was a good day. Found a coupla' nice little orphans that needed a home. Probably paid to much, but don't I always.
The nickel 36 is from 1982, right after pinned barrels went away. The Case knife box is marked 1998.
So who says some of the newer stuff ain't as good as the old days!

:) You may have paid to much because the seller saw that look in your eyes. Nice looking gun and I love those grips. Don

those j frame grips have been deemed hazardous and must be shipped to me ASAP for further disposal....not on my 638.... but great j frame and knife, one of the last few real american made knives, even buck has sold out now

Cute little Case Copperlock. I have one, and like it.

What did the knife cost, if one may ask?

Sure. It's a little hard to split the deal, got 'em both for one price.
If I have 4 in the J frame I've got $50 in the Case.

Good buy on the knife , Case Stag . The pattern is in the vault , as the good old boys from Smoky Mountain say .

Thanks for the comments guys. I'll tell you something on grips, these and about everything else I post have stocks on them I've bought separately.

You can't find a gun with original wood anymore because of Ebay. So every gun purchase I make I have to come up with a set of grips to put on it. Adds to the bottom line of every deal.

This gun had a set of "pearl-lite" plastic.... non-grips, that I took off before I brought it in the house.
