A movie that taught me some of the most important life lessons.

Life changing movies.....

Breaker Morant - Do your job well and you'll be rewarded.

Rashomon - Everybody's opinion isn't the same as yours.

Animal House - Don't get mad, get even.

Midnight Cowboy - You aren't as cool as you think you are.

Mr. Roberts - Watch out what you wish for.

My life lessons came from the old Kung Fu movies; the "chopsaki" stuff. Well, not really, but I enjoyed the hell out of them, & the cheaper the better. One really stands out in my memory...I think it was called "The Flying Birdcage Of Death". I'm not joking! Apparently, some Kung Fu monks had developed this weapon that was about the size of a manhole cover & twice as thick. It was attached to their wrist by a chain. They would fling the thing, & as it flew through the air it would open up, the upper & lower rings held together by wire mesh. Did I mention the rotating blades in the lower ring? The thing would land on somebody's head, the monk would yank the chain, the blades would do their job, & the head would return to the monk, neatly held by the wire mesh. When the inventor demonstrated the device to the head monk, he used a dog for the demo, & I kid you not, the dog was a German Shepard! What was a GS doing in ancient China? It's weirdness like that that kept me entertained.

Sergeant York, especially where Pastor Pyle explains to Alvin how he can straighten things out in his life.

One of my favorite movies.

Those Kung Fu movies taught me that being able to beat people up solved 99% of the world's problems.

'The Flying Birdcage of Death'.......sorry I missed that one.
