Im pretty sure its the discovery channel and it looks like a more realistic portrayl of a gun shop and gun owners. Mind you this is from a 45 second tv commercial. But I cant find anything about it online. Near positive it was titled American Gun(s)

I saw the ad, and it did look a tad more decent than some of the other shows, but I'll wager that it will end up being another conflict-driven soap opera where they also happen to shoot guns.

Thats what Im worried about. Really dont need another Sons of Guns. I have no use for a 3 barreled Saiga gatling, a chromed out chopper MG or a 1000yard AK.

Given the photo they are using to promote it, I'm already groaning. If you can't afford decent clothing for your wife and daughter, maybe you should be doing something about that instead. A 16 year old who dresses like Daisy Duke? Her mother in that get-up? Really? And you expect me to take this show seriously? I know I'm a fuddy-duddy, but come on.

I'll hold off final opinion until I see an episode, but it doesn't look promising to me.

If you got it, why not flaunt it? I see more flesh than this walking in any mall.

Many (most?) reality shows are not about the core subject matter, but rather about the characters and the egos, drama, conflict, etc. Without that, most of these shows would be lucky to last one season. As much as most of us on this forum would like a reality show that was gun focused with little or no drama, we are in reality a small part of the population that watches these type of shows I suspect. Much the same can be said for American Chopper, which after about the first year had nothing to do with Choppers and everything to do with conflict, drama, and ego's.

I had never heard of the shop in this show until this thread, but a simple google search indicates that Discovery may have found a 'character' in the owner of this shop. Hopefully though, the show will provide positive and value-added information about guns, gun history, gun owners, and gun rights. Hopefully.

Did anyone notice where Mama had that rifle pointed, and did they notice where she had her trigger finger? Wonder how many episodes in it'll be before Mama shoots someone in the foot.

I was gonna bring up thi point on Amer. Choppers; exactly why I've seen so few shows; just build the bikes already.

I watch it in two years.;)

Since I'm kinda new round here, I didn't say that. :p

I was gonna say I can look at the Mom for now, then in 2 yrs. ...

So now u looked like the perv 1st. ha

After reading up on it, Ill give it a few episodes to give a pass or fail. Im pretty sure the only good gun related shows Ill ever watch is on History (Guns of the world, Tales of the gun) and Outdoor Channel.

I'm all for giving this one a try.
I watched 7 full minutes of the first SOG show(I did put a 'G' didn't I?) before I started screaming.
I do have a good supply of torches and pitchforks on hand. Just in case.

As much as I would love to say that those here would watch a show where nothing was discussed but firearms, I cannot. I am as avid a fan of firearms as they come but there are firearms I do not like. If a show started talking about certain brands, models or such, I would turn it off.

Shows must have several things going at once so something will appeal to every viewer and hold their interest. The women, the feuds, the process, the guns, the customers and many other things may be needed to hold this show together.

I am still trying to find why Billy, The Exteminator is still airing and why anyone cares to watch it.

I agree oldman45, Billy the exterminator is an awful awful show. I googled the owners name for the new gun show and its never good that the second listing under his own website is an incident from THE RIPOFF REPORT and a bunch of very unflattering incidents between himself and customers, his ex wife and local PD's. He sounds like a total ****. I may skip this one and wait for American Hoggers on A&E. At least the daughter in that one is 23 and a former finalist in Ms.Texas

I will get it a try, may be more funny than "Lock & Load". Funny thing though, Lock & Load is in Denver also.
Must be something in the water!
