This is a belated report; on 10/7/2021, The shooting community lost Lyle N Goldsmith, of Orient, Ohio, a notable Shooter, craftsman, and Humanitarian. I saw no mention of his passing in the News, and most folks have never heard of him. That's just, as Lyle N. Goldsmith, wanted it.
Lyle was a very Quiet, and reserved, but extremely talented man.; While serving in the Army, of the USA, he earned the title of Distinguished Marksman, and was a longtime member of the All-Army Rifle Team.
He helped further Shooting and Shooting Safety, in any way he could.
He was the Construction Supervisor for a prominent worldwide chain of breakfast- restaurants.
He was prominent in the Masonic Lodge, Aladdin Shrine, and AASR, and also a patron of the Eastern Star Lodge.
Lyle sincerely Cared for Mankind, and did everything he could, to help them.
We were good friends, worked together, and shot together. I'll miss him.
