HOME! The GPNW south of
Sunday Kathryn and I went to Evergreen Chapel on Ft.Lewis, WA for a memorial ceremony for SPC Samuel D. Stone, C Troop, 1st Squadron 303rd Cavalry. Our son Dan served with Samuel in C Troop. Samuel died in a vehicle accident 31 May 09.

Dan also lost a very good friend Aaron E. Fairbairn who was killed by a homicide bomber in Afganistan 4 July 09.

Young Dan now truly knows that the price of freedom is not free. God willing he will be home in early August.

Prayers please for all who serve and for those who have given and continue to give their lives in the service of this nation.

Prayers sent for your safe return to your loved one's Dan, God bless you, and thank you for your service.
Also in my prayers daily are our troops everywhere. Where would we be without them?

God please keep our troops safe and please grant a blessing of comfort and peace for those families that have lost loved ones in the line of duty. May their bravery and sacrifice remain as a beacon for our country.

God Bless them and their families.
I bid Dan Godspeed, and tell him thanks.

AMEN

I can't put it any better than those in front of me, Come home safe and thanks to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

"Oh Lord Hear My Plea......"

".... And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Revelations 21

To a Fellow Trooper:

A line in long array where they wind betwixt green islands,
They take a serpentine course, their arms flash in
the sun—hark to the musical clank,
Behold the silvery river, in it the splashing horses
loitering stop to drink.
Behold the brown-faced men, each group, each
person a picture, the negligent rest on the saddles,
Some emerge on the opposite bank, others are just
entering the ford—while,
Scarlet and blue and snowy white,
The guidon flags flutter gayly in the wind.
