Ok I know company's want to improve there products and after 10 years was probably do. However when you take one step forward you shouldn't go back three.1) why would you put a loaded chamber indicator on any of your guns? If you don't know you have a round in the chamber then stop shooting cause it's time.2) thumb safety W.T.F. all I can say about this..3) slide serrations not useful and don't really look good kinda like you started them then decided to have a slide cut out and you left what was already there.. I'll stick with the original... missed it by that much!!!

Well, as far as a safety, all I can say is that some of us prefer a thumb safety. You can get one without, I understand. The loaded chamber indicator I would assume is there because some communist states require it, and it's just cheaper to make 'em all that way.

Gotta agree with you on the forward serrations. Looks like somebody dropped the gun into a bench grinder. Ugly, IMO, and not very functional.

On the plus side, though, the new trigger is pretty sweet.

The nice thing is we can make our own choices for what we buy. Many of us like what SW offers, and there are plenty of options for those who don't. Like cars, there is no one perfect item to fit everyone's needs; and everything out there likely has at least one item that can be improved.

This ^^^^

Massachusetts require it and California require the ones that stick up. Check the S&W site and you can see it. I do not see a big deal with this or safeties. Like mentioned above, as a consumer you have a choice...buy or dont buy

A comparison: i do not like autonomous cars, will never want one. But i trust it more then some of the morons on the road.

Blah blah blah.

There's a really simple solution here.

If you don't like what Smith & Wesson has to offer, then buy...something...else.

They also

The states in question also have 10 round restrictions I don't have to buy a 10 round mag. In my state give me the option right...

You're really going to compare the pistols all having a loaded chamber indicator with magazine capacity?

Tell me, what do you lose when the pistol you buy has a loaded chamber indicator??

It's official, all of the world's other problems have been solved.

The small hole-type LCI is a non-issue & far better than a mechanical piece.

The thumb safety is an option, for those who feel more comfortable with one, and you can pick up the safety-less model if you prefer.

The front slide serrations are admittedly useless.
I just ignore 'em.

Slide serrations work great. Don't care about looks. If I wanted art I'd buy a painting. I want a tool and that's what a gun is. Try using the slide with wet slippery or cold hands.

Loaded chamber indicators? Don't even know their there.

Safety? Irrelevant. Not my cup of tea but I don't care if others want it
