I saw this ad yesterday from a shop about twenty miles from me. Remington 700 and CZ 527 models are my favorite bolt action rifles; however, I don’t really need another gun. I figured when the store opened at 11:00 a.m. this rifle would be gone in a few minutes. 2:00 p.m. rolled around and I emailed stating I would buy it if it were still available. It was, and I did. Considering a $60.00 scope mount and rings came with it, I believe I did well.

How do I figure out the DOM of this piece?

Thanks.

Great deal on a very useable rifle!
A question I have regarding a Model 700 in .223 specifically, is it safe and or practical accuracy wise to use bulk .556 ammunition?

Thanks,
OZ

$300, the action is worth that. Are the rings 30 mm, or one inch?

I’d probably do an aftermarket trigger. Maybe a stock.

Bulk, junk 5.56 should go thru a PSA AR. Put some decent ammo thru that bolt gun.

I have owned four CZ 527’s (still have three) a Howa 1500, a Remington 700 BDL Varmint and have shot 5.56x45 out of all of them with no issues.

The mount/rings are 1” DNZ Game Reaper.
