A sad day for anyone with Michigan roots

Our beloved Dublin Store burned to the ground overnight. Home of the world famous Dublin jerky. Since 1935 they’ve sold everything from firearms to liquor to of course, a hundred different types of jerky and related products. Really gonna miss this place.

I saw this on 9&10 news out of Cadillac. Terrible. I have a cabin near Baldwin and it was always great to go up and get some jerky and maybe a gun or a chain saw.

Not yet but the fire did start near the firearms portion of the store and not near where the cooking was done. They said it was very “explosive” with all of the ammo.

You could also buy all of your groceries and hardware items - truly one stop shopping and a destination for many. It was nowhere near a main thoroughfare.

The truly great news is that the owners are going to rebuild ASAP.

I'm only 60 and spent seven years in the Army, so only 53 years in Michigan but I have say I've never heard of them ether.
