A 48-0 like you've probably never seen before

This one has had a easy life ,laying around in a safe.
I am the third owner and every one that has owned it
Says it’s unfired but who knows for sure.
Between May and July 1959 ,I think .

Somewhere out there is a K22 wearing a coat of Armoloy that in a moment of stupidity I let get away.

Keep hoping it will surface someday. Sure do miss that old friend.

No where near as difficult a time as the OP, but similar story. Was in a gun rug and a fire in the house, was soaked and left for a long time. Finish was lots of surface rust and some minor pitting. Sent to Metaloy in Berryville AK and had it coated. The finish is hard industrial chrome, and tough.

I too have a no dash 48 (8 3/8"). It's one of the most accurate rim fires I own. Great job bringing that one back from the abyss.
