I was lucky enough to see this for sale in the classifieds and picked it up at the gun shop last week. It's my third prewar gun and my first M&P target. It's in great shape and I'm itchy to shoot it. I'll probably put some Roper style grips on it but would also like to find a set of the .410 dia. silver medallions for a set of service stocks. With a serial number 6499XX I think that's what would have come on it, sound right? I have to admit the hook is set pretty deep now. Thanks again Larry.

Keith,
Nice gun! I've got some medallions and I sent you an email.
Later,
Bill

Keith,
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I would love to see how those grips turn out when you are done.

Puma, the medallions for this set are .400 in diameter putting them between the .500 pre-war and the post-war .375. In a very kind gesture Bill is sending me a set to use, I'll be sure to post them for you Larry. Tim,I think this has something to do with spending time at Lee's table, probably some kind of a hex!
