For my grandchildren.
Pic heavy and it is not completed--doing by myownself--did hire a guy to set the post and cut the sringer for the stair.
I am an idiot--and--I want to prove it.

Great idea. When a handy tree is not available, simply building a climbing tower, tree house, etc. is a excellent option. Doubtless the kids will be thrilled. God bless 'em all! Sincerely. brucev.

Those kids will never forget what you did for them. When I think back to some of the "tree houses" I/we built as kids, I shudder. No parent would let their kids near one of those death traps today.

You are a great grandfather! I have no building ability, so I bought one for my granddaughter for her first birthday.

I will share this. About ten years ago, some neighbor kids built a monstrosity of a treehouse in their backyard. A neighbor behind them complained to the HOA about it and the HOA president was forced to make the kid's parents tear down the structure. There were quite a few hard feelings over the incident.

Summer came, the affronted family went on vacation. The HOA president, who was a contractor, secured a building permit for a "tool shed" structure at the kid's home. It took his crew about three days to build the shed, ten feet off the ground with a crow's nest and a balcony, practically on the property line of the grump who insisted the original treehouse be torn down. The grump had to live with the new and improved structure for years.

Beware your neighbors.
