A tribute

I've been watching the series " Against the Odds". Great series.
The last one I saw was about the 29th Marines at Sugar Loaf hill in Okinawa.
Being an Army vet, I have been known to razz a Marine on occasion but this time my hat is off to what they did there.
I know that's not the only thing they've done but hey, I'm Army, only one Huzzah at a time.
Here's to the jar heads....Huzzah!

The portion of "The Pacific" on A&E that dealt with the Okinawa campaign was harrowing. Can't even imagine. Greatest Generation, you are well named.....

I watched the show and it is amazing and sombering to get a small idea of what those men endured and overcame.
I was also stunned at the losses that the Navy absorbed while refusing to leave the Marines for manuvering room to fight off the kamikaze planes.
May they never be forgotten by Americans.

Hoo rah to you guys& gals maybe. Huzzah is from a century or two ago and I always liked that. Maybe started around the revolution?
