In my neck of the woods its been a perfect September day. A cloudless sky with warm sun and a slight hint of cool in the breeze. The occasional yellow and red leaf can be seen now. What a day to take your 3rd Gen's to the range!
I took my WVSP 4006 and 4013 out of the first time since putting some fresh springs in them. My 4006 was as smooth and boringly reliable as always, but the real surprise was my 4013. Despite having bought the gun in March I've only shot it a few times. Today was the first outing since a little action work I'd performed myself. I'd polished the trigger bar and a few other internals to smooth out a gritty factory pull. I'd also installed a 17lb Wolff mainspring and 3lb trigger return spring.
My efforts really brought out the pistol's potential. Slow fire inside 10 yards yielded groups easily covered by a 50 cent piece. I was able to consistently ring steel at 50 yards, even while firing DA. What a gem of a pistol! I paid less than $400 for the gun and after a little TLC and less than $20 in springs it shoots as well or better than any pistol I own.
