I can't image not shooting it. That's what they're made for!

A NIB Colt Python that one is buying for an "investment", maybe not. I probably would anyway.

Like buying a cherry Ford GT or Mustang Fastback and not driving it- no way!

I'll take it!

When I worked in a gun shop in Atlanta many years ago, I carried one I bobbed and slicked up in my hip pocket.
Very comforting unless I was sitting down. :D

I bought one exactly like that new in 1981 in a gun shop in Atlanta. It would be very strange if I bought it from you! It was my first Smith and Wesson. I bought it because my six inch Python was a little large for concealed carry.

Many, Many years ago sitting on a "K" frame would have been uncomfortable for me. Present time sitting on a "N" frame wouldn't bother me.

Now see, that's why I'm not buying one of the CDC or CYA trade-ins that are floating around. I know I'll find a nice one like that, perhaps even a 3" haha, once I get all my other obligations shortly settled.

Fantastic revolver, enjoy and thanks for sharing!

My brother was deputy commissioner of corrections in CA. He carried a 2" 64, kept it when he retired and got me one like it. It was marked CDC#### on the left side of the frame under the cylinder, IIRC his was marked CDC 0002.
They are great guns and if you like a heavy snubby they cannot be beat, I have shot mine a lot and packed it off duty and sometimes as a BUG if I was carrying a larger wheelgun in .38 or .357.
