Yes, they are, planning, that is.
Not quite "planning". President Obama has put it before Congress to do so; what Congress will do remains to be seen, but at present it's thought that most gun restriction proposals put on the floor will be voted down in the House.
So a NATIONAL 10+ magazine ban is not likely?
It remains to be seen. Certainly some legislators -- like Feinstein -- are expected to put proposals before Congress that include the so-called "high capacity" magazine ban, and Obama called for Congress to reinstate the '94 AWB, but he made no attempt to address the magazine capacity question through E.O.
The biggie: assault weapon and high cap mag bans, will go to Congressional vote. So, as of yet undecided, and because the Republicans own the House, it's believed ban legislation proposals will be struck down.

It's also believed that many of the leading liberals won't commit career suicide over this. They've seen the pushback and are seeing their careers flash before their eyes.

MAN I LOVE THIS FORUM
..... I'm out here almost everyday checking out all the posts about the WB & the proposals that Obama has laid out, it is very informative and I try to support all the Reps. that are fighting for our 2amendment rights. ..... As a tentative new AR-sport rifle owner, I really need to stay on top of what is happening with this WB.
