Accessing your wallet while carrying IWB

I use a number of high quality IWB/OWB holsters, am right handed and carry 4'oclock. My only problem is that doing so also interfered with my ability to easily access my wallet which I also carry in my right back pocket.
I know....move my wallet to the other side....I have carried my wallet in my right side back pocket for many more years than I have concealed carry...

Anyone else fight this?

I am right hand also and pocket right front or I WB 3:00 I moved my wallet over to left rear pocket many years ago. Only thing in right rear pocket is a lockblade knife flesh only.

Life is so much easier when you wear a shoot-me-first vest. Most of them have a zipper pocket upper left which will handle at least a card case and a modest money clip, or just folded bills. Anyway, both hands showing when you hand the nice officer your driver's license, or need a few bills to pay for your weekly broccoli ration or the occasional bunch of rappini.

I quit carrying a wallet after many trips to Europe and noticing how one could always spot an American by the wallet bulge in a back pocket. Mostly tourists or business travelers there for a short time, they immediately became targets for the nearest and plentiful pickpockets who work touristy areas.
I changed to left front pocket, only credit cards with cash folded over them, wrapped with a couple rubber bands. The rubber bands make it more difficult to for a pickpocket to slide the bundle out without the victim noticing. The "wallet" is nice and flat, and easy to use once you get used to it. I haven't traveled overseas in years, but still keep the money there, and EDC 3:30-4 o'clock right side.
An added bonus - the paperboy brings me a new "wallet" every day.

Just when I was thinking a fanny pack for my wallet........Never thought about using my shoot me first vest...usually wear it on the range for IDPA shoots...good idea...now I can get more use out of it....Thanks Guys!

I don't know how anyone travels outside the USA and continues to carry a fat wallet. I take the credit cards I need and carry them in a front pocket and cash in the other. At home I don't care - in the outside world, I am FUSSY!

I don't know why the gun interferes with reaching your wallet but, seriously, if it does I recommend switching to the left rear pocket. To get used to it maybe carry a thinner wallet for awhile.

Only problem I have is that when I reach for my wallet,sometimes my shirt will ride up and expose my gun. How large is your holster? full size gun? maybe you need to downsize to a small weapon/small holster?

I quit carrying a wallet in my back pocket over 30 years ago because sitting on a wallet WILL throw your back out of alignment. BTW, haven't had any need for a Chiropractor since moving my wallet to my front left pocket.

Obviously my tip would be to move your wallet to a front pocket. Not only will you find you have less back pain you'll also have a wallet in a pocket that is far more Pickpocket Resistant than a back pocket.

PS; my front right pocket is now dedicated to my Ruger LC9S.

Downsize to a small weapon, or downsize to a small wallet? Aside from the inherent merits of one choice or the other, which do you think will be more popular on THIS forum?

Snubby, with SIATICA or BACK PROBLEMS the LAST PLACE you should carry a wallet is in you BACK pocket. If carrying your piece at 4 o'clock try putting your wallet in your front pocket - your back will thank you!

Another good reason for carrying your wallet in a front pocket is that its better for your back & spine. The imbalance created when sitting with a wallet in the rear pocket is one of the leading causes of spinal misalignment in men.

Despite being left handed I always kept my wallet in the right rear pocket. That and clicking the computer mouse are probably the only things I do with my right hand
